Not a resolution
I know. I’m blogging for the first time in over 4 years on January 3. It looks like a New Year Resolution. I promise it is not. The consistency of posting is likely to peter out around the time that resolutions either become habits or mild guilt triggers.
This is not that. My blogging will peter out because I’ve lost interest, or don’t have anything interesting (to me) to write. I’m posting because I wanted to share something. When I have something to share, I post; when I don’t, I won’t.
I’m not even pretending to make a resolution to blog more/monthly/weekly/daily.
My Time in the Resistance
I’ve had a bit of a love-hate relationship with this blog. I let it become something I thought I ought to do. Something that I ought to use to build a platform. Something that I ought to somehow monetize.
The thing is I have a resistance to things I “ought” to do. So I haven’t been blogging…as a form of resistance.
Also the last three and a half years have been really hard and overwhelming, and I didn’t have space for blogging, especially the “ought to” form of blogging.
What to Expect
Nothing really. I’ll write when I feel like it, about things that interest me, as a form of dialoguing with what I’m reading and watching.
So welcome back! Until I’m gone again.
